The junction temperature (TJ in °C) is calculated from the ambient temperature (TA in °C) and power dissipation (PD in Watts) according to the formula: TJ = TA + (PD • θJA). 3 This voltage is set by the power path MOSFET’s body diode and will safely exceed 0.3V during start-up for a limited time determined by the body diode thermal dissipation.
