    The bq2003 is a fast-charge IC that provides comprehensive fast-charge control functions and high-speed switching power-control circuitry on a monolithic CMOS device. This application note describes the use of the bq2003 as the modulator in a buck-type switch-mode regulator to fast-charge NiCd and NiMH batteries. Examples include a P-channel MOSFET charger and an N-FET MOSFET charger.
